Responsive Leadership for Oro Valley

Photo of Salette LatasWhen Salette graduated from the University of Arizona and received her commission in the Air Force, Oro Valley was a small community. Two decades later, when her daughter started at the U of A, she chose to spend the rest of her life here. Her son was in high school, and Canyon Del Oro was a great choice for him. The Latas family loved the endless views, the clean air, and the peace and quiet.

Salette has always been involved in her community. She has worked with abused and neglected children as a court-appointed special advocate. She has been an elected officer on several neighborhood associations, and she has served on the board of the PTA. After moving to Oro Valley, Salette served as president and executive director of a nonprofit organization. She has completed the Oro Valley Citizens' Planning Institute, and she currently serves as Vice Chair of the Oro Valley Historic Preservation Commission.

Salette wants to ensure that the American dream of a livable community is still going to be there for our children and grandchildren.

With your help, Salette Latas will give Oro Valley new leadership that works for all of us.
